What's on offer
A counter, not a kitchen
Our counter runs along the old loading wall, poured by whoever's on the roster, with a short list built to keep hands free for the next hand of cards.
We run no kitchen behind it and no menu to order from — a plate of cheese and crackers does the rounds after nine, and the counter shuts with the last table.
Chips never cross the counter. We score them on the felt and they stay there, whatever the table, whatever the night.
Short list
Filter coffee, a pot of tea, soft drink for the drive home.
Late plate
Cheese and crackers after nine, nothing more elaborate than that.
Payment
We take cash or card at the counter — chips are never involved.
You need to be eighteen
We run a card room where every game is played in person, eighteen and over, with photo ID checked at the door.
